Digital Legacy Conference 2024 – About

The Digital Legacy Conference 2024 took place as part of the scientific conference, Public Health Palliative Care in Bern, Switzerland

The main focus of the PHPCI conference 2024 was projects in research & education from all around the world. Further, a program for the exchange of experiences from compassionate cities in German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) is planned. A third thread focuses on the development of compassionate cities within Switzerland inspired by international projects (these sessions will be translated French/ German).

The Digital Legacy Conference 2024 embraced this theme and invited international leaders in the field of digital legacy to collaborate and empower others.

Digital Legacy Conference 2024 – Programme

This year’s conference will take place as part of Public Health Palliative Care International Conference (PHPCI) in Bern, Switzerland on Friday 25 October 2024. Doors at the Le Cap – Room “Nicolas Manuel. will open at 13:30 with the event concluding at 17:00. The conference does not clash with any scheduled PHPCI talks.

13:30: Doors open (as soon as PHPCI ends). PHPCI attendees are welcome to eat lunch (provided by PHPCI) in the conference room. Background music will be played

  • Dr Jason Mills is an Associate Professor at the Flinders University Research Centre for Palliative Care, Death and Dying. He holds fellowships with the Royal Society for Public Health, Higher Education Academy, and is Editor-in-Chief for the international journal Progress in Palliative Care

Digital Legacy Conference attendees learned about the importance of digital assets planning and digital legacy safeguarding. They also examined areas of best practice within this field. The Digital Legacy Conference was free to attend for all PHPCI badge holders. A limited number of free tickets were also released for those not planning to attend PHPCI, these were now sold out ahead of time.
