The Digital Legacy Conference 2024 will take place as part of PHPCI in Bern, Switzerland on the 25th October
The Digital Legacy Conference is an annual conference that explores and celebrates the positive impact technology can have within the end of life and bereavement.
Digital Legacy Conference 2024 (#DLC2024) attendees will learn about emerging best practices in areas relating to digital assets planning and digital legacy safeguarding. It is free to attend for all Public Health Palliative Care International (PHPCI) badge holders. A number of free tickets will also be available for those not attending PHPCI.
The Digital Legacy Conference is a not for profit event. Its aim is to empower professionals with this increasingly important area. Through awareness, discussions and the sharing of knowledge, professionals are able to adapt their own practice and policies in order to better serve patients, families and different communities.
A call for abstracts is now open. If you are using technology to support communities with areas relating to death, dying and bereavement you are encouraged to submit an abstract by clicking here.

This year’s conference will take place as part of Public Health Palliative Care International Conference 2024 in the Reformed French Church in Bern, Switzerland. Doors will open at 1pm and the conference will start at 2pm.
Why this conference is important
Modern day technologies are changing the world. The ways in which we plan for death and remember our loved one’s are increasingly moving into the digital realm. Health, social care and palliative care professionals need to be able to adapt practice, communication, policies and procedures to better support our ever increasingly, digitally mature society.
Who is the Digital Legacy Conference for?
The Digital Legacy Conference is for those involved in care planning, social care, healthcare, palliative, hospice and bereavement professionals. It is also relevant for policy makers, technologists and academics working within this sector.

Who organises the Digital Legacy Conference
The Digital Legacy Conference is organised by The Digital Legacy Association. The Digital Legacy Association is the global organisation dedicated to raising standards and developing best practices in areas relating to digital assets planning and digital legacy safeguarding. Previous Digital Legacy Conferences have taken place at UCL Partners (London), Siena College (New York), EAPC (Berlin), St Joseph’s Hospice (London), online from Michael Sobell Hospice (London) and EAPC (Rotterdam)
